A Brief Synopsis

Published at December 6, 2015 ·  4 min read

A Brief Synopsis So, my life has been pretty crazy recently with the year wrapping up. I have school tomorrow and Tuesday, then finals on Thursday and Friday, and then I am done with the semester! I have been working on a very large paper for my Politics class -larger even than any of my past project week papers- and that has been a bit stressful. I know I am putting more work than necessary into it and that really he is just trying to see if we can argue a topic for a while, but I really enjoy this topic and want this essay to be of the highest caliber....

Who am I?

Published at November 15, 2015 ·  6 min read

Who am I? In the last week, I received results from one personality/learning type test I did through Nucor as well as took the Meyers-Briggs personality test. I attached pictures of the Nucor results if any of you would like to see them, but I will go briefly over the highlights. First surprising result is that I edged (very slightly) toward extroversion, which I was not expecting. I was in general in the middle of the spectrum for many of the topics, but there were some that shot out toward one direction or the other....

Battleship

Battleship Hey, all! A quick update on what I mentioned in the last email: I am fine as far as health goes. I know a couple of you were worried from what I said, but I misspoke. I was not spontaneously “crying,” per say, but rather my eyes were spontaneously watering. I used those terms interchangeably and I should not have. I went by the nurse, got some eye drops, and feel just fine....

Spinning Top!

Published at October 10, 2015 ·  1 min read

Spinning Top! This week has been really quite ordinary as far as my classes go, but I did make a spinning top in my manufacturing class! I also decided that I am going to make a new endpin for my bass for one of my two freshman design projects. Only other event of note this week was Rick Mattson, the apologist, coming into my Bible study. We got to talk to him about specific questions we had regarding the Bible, its authenticity, its history, and its interpretation....

A Few of my friends

Published at September 28, 2015 ·  10 min read

A Few of my friends Hello, all! I have been getting some questions about who all I am spending time with here, and so I thought I would give a little update on that as well as a couple recent experiences of mine. First, my weekend. I was given the opportunity, which I happily accepted, to go on a retreat with InterVarsity to a cabin about an hour away from here....

First day of classes!

Published at August 24, 2015 ·  5 min read

First day of classes! So, first day of classes was today, and I feel great! The only negative experience was at the very beginning of the day, so I quickly moved past it as the day moved on. That was, I arrived at my first class, 8:00, as did everyone else. The teacher showed up about 8:20 and told us that he was cancelling class for today, and that we could head off....

My Weekend

Published at August 6, 2015 ·  6 min read

My Weekend I thought I would give another little update as to what I have been up to. Yesterday I spent most of my time with the Baja team again, and this time we drove about a half hour off campus to do some bigger terrain tracks. As opposed to my experience last weekend, this was not just a two minute lap, but rather a massive expanse of hills, dirt, and grassland that was all pretty much open for us to mess around....
